To use the Refining Forge, one needs to put either Thatch.png Thatch, Wood.png Wood, Sparkpowder.png Sparkpowder or Angler Gel.png Angler Gel inside. See table below for more information.

Furthermore you need to place the material which needs to be refined inside of the forge.

If both materials are available inside the forge you just have to Light the fire and wait for the forge to finish.

To make the most efficient use of fuel, compare the amount of refining needed and the burn times of various fuels to determine the amount of fuel that will be needed to complete the refining. For example:

9 metal ingot (2 Metal for each ingot) X 0:20 refining time = 3:00 / 1:00 (burn time for Sparkpowder) = 3 Sparkpowder
Metal / 6 = Sparkpowder needed (e.g. 60 Metal / 6 = 10 Sparkpowder)

Fuel[modifier | modifier le wikicode]

Each fuel item used will burn for a different amount time, the table below shows the difference in items and allows the player to judge the most suitable fuel to use for the burn time required.

Fuel Item Burn Time (Single Item) Burn Time (Stack of 100)
Thatch.png Thatch 7s 12m 30s
Wood.png Wood 30s 50m
Sparkpowder.png Sparkpowder 1m 1h 40m
Angler Gel.png Angler Gel 4m 6h 40m

Refining[modifier | modifier le wikicode]

Each resource will take different amounts time to refine; the table below shows the difference in items and allows the player to judge the most suitable fuel to use for the burn time required.

Resource Ingredients Refining Time
Refining Forge.png Refining Forge Industrial Forge.png Industrial Forge
Metal Ingot.png Metal Ingot 2 × Metal.png Metal 20s 1s
Gasoline.png Gasoline x 5 3 × Oil.png Oil
5 × Hide.png Hide
30s 2s

Examples[modifier | modifier le wikicode]

  • Each stack of 200 ingots (400 metal) takes 136 wood.
  • Divide the amount of metal you have by 3 and then round up to determine how much wood you need. (ex 400/3=134)
  • Each wood smelts 1.5 ingots, or 3 metal.
  • Every 300 ingots (600 metal) takes 100 Sparkpowder.
  • Every 700 ingots (1400 metal) takes 59 Angler Gel.

An excellent offline calculator is available for automating these calculations, or you can use the following online calculator.
